The Allgäuer Rosenalp is a hotel committed to tradition. The proprietors remained true to their principles during the renovation and refurbishment and subtly added modern, stylish elements to the authentic ambience.
The Allgäuer Rosenalp quite literally received a facelift in a mere two months. The outside terrace, restaurant, hotel bar, kitchen, guest rooms and physiotherapy area were refurbished and extended. The roof was raised to create 17 new double rooms and apartments on the fourth and fifth floors with views stretching across Oberstaufen and the Steibinger Nagelfluhkette. The proprietors insisted on the use of local natural materials that now create an authentic and very 'gemuetlich' atmosphere in the guest rooms and in the lounge bar and restaurant. The finished design is an ideal blend of traditional architecture and modern stylish elements with a keen eye for detail. Since its founding 40 years ago, the Rosenalp has evolved from a 30-bed hotel to a generous health resort and spa hotel. The cozy atmosphere is nonetheless still just as palpable after the hotel reopened for the winter season of 2010/2011.
Sliding solutions allow guests to adapt the new suites to suit their needs depending on the time of day or their current activity. Interior contractors Philipp Haas & Söhne used symmetrically opening wooden doors to separate the bedroom from the living area. They open and close effortlessly thanks to HAWA Symmetric 80 Z hardware. Additionally, all-glass sliding doors equipped with HAWA Junior 80 GP create space-saving transitions as intermediate and end doors in the bathroom and in the redesigned restaurant.
