Hawa Sliding Solutions AG generated sales of CHF 72.2 million in 2019, thus exceeding the previous year’s result by 4.5%. Last year, the export share rose by two percent to 84%. Good international business made up for the slight drop in revenue in the DACH countries. This time, the sales drivers were the markets in North America. The sales offices Middle East and APAC also developed positively. The Western Europe region continued its upward trend. The management sees this positive development as confirmation of an investment offensive, the use of synergies, and a new company culture. Thanks to the good result, the 239 employees (previous year 236) will enjoy variable remuneration that has been increased. The number of trainees (17) in Mettmenstetten remains high.
Awards for innovative power and products: HAWA Suono for soundproofed sliding doors, received the Interzum Award and the Innovation Award of the Holz Basel trade fair. The company also received the first prize at the ASCO Economiesuisse Award 2019. Outlook in Corona times with many question marks: The Corona pandemic this year threw a wrench in plans for the future at Hawa as well. “In view of the global crisis and the extensive standstill in society and companies, it is not possible to make reliable predictions at this point in time,” says CEO Gregor Haab.
