Warren Wixen Real Estate

An architect's firm in Los Angeles developed a perfect solution for the office premises of Warren Wixen Real Estate.

Modern, light, open, inviting – this is the new look of the office rooms at Warren Wixen Real Estate in Los Angeles. The same applies to the solution developed by architects HLW International LLP in cooperation with Pulp Studio. Glass from floor to ceiling – not only a functionally convincing approach but also a concept with a high degree of esthetic appeal. The seamlessness of the matt glass decor emphasizes the alignment of the corridor and interrupts it as soon as a sliding door is opened. Designing the rooms was no piece of cake as neither the floor nor the ceiling had a level surface. They first had to be brought into alignment before the glass walls were installed. There should not be even the slightest divergence between wall and glass.

Pulp Studio's recommendation of using HAWA Puro 100–150 hardware for all-glass sliding doors helped find the perfect solution in spite of the challenging initial situation. Concealed suspension made it possible to achieve the ideal of "glass from floor to ceiling". Daylight spills through the glass into the offices and the rooms begin to fill with life.

The International Interior Design Association IIDA presented the Calibre Award 2009 in recognition of the new offices at Warren Wixen Real Estate. The HAWA- Puro 100–150 hardware system is the winner of the interzum award 2009 for high product quality.
